Here is a very simple way to get free traffic to your website. It is not an immediate traffic tactic but one that will allow for you to rank for more keywords, thus bringing you more traffic.
I’m sure all my Junkies are aware of how important on page optimization is for their website, and I hope your using Jeff Johnson Free Traffic Getting SEO plugin or a similar SEO plugin like All-In-One SEO.(I personally use all in one SEO)
It is a lot easier to rank for a keyword when it is in your title tag. Most internet marketers are not Junkies, so they only put one maybe two keywords in their title tags.
The traffic tactic is put multiple keywords in your title tag. I’m not talking about keyword stuffing. I mean creatively using your keywords so that you can easily rank for more terms.
Take IMjunkies.com for example. The current title tag is Internet Marketing Tip Guides Help|Affiliate Marketing Blog. Okay maybe I’m doing a little stuffing but never mind that. How many keywords can you count? Here are the keywords I researched before I made my title tag.
- internet marketing guide
- internet marketing gurus
- affiliate marketing blog
- internet marketing guides
- internet marketing help
- internet marketing tip
The only one I was not able to get in was internet marketing gurus. All the other keywords are a variant of the title tag. Now when I link to my page, I will make sure to use one of the keywords listed above as anchor text. Overtime, this will bring my more traffic. Imagine how much free traffic I will get if I can rank in the top 3 for all the terms. (They are not very competitive)
